Gary Sharp
Gary has been in IT for nearly 25 years, and has been self employed throughout. He became a contractor in 1995 as a technical specialist and has since moved on to manage projects, mainly in the financial sector for many of the top names in banking and equities. He keeps his hand in at a technical level by providing email and web services to a range of clients. Gary also writes a column on technology for a magazine aimed at startup businesses.
Gary has some good contacts in the political arena, and an understanding of how things work in Scotland, which can be surprisingly different from the rest of the UK. He has the ability to look at an argument logically and make a rational decision, but also the enthusiasm for stirring things up that an organisation such as PCG needs.
Gary is in his 3rd year for the Board and the CC, but has been involved from the sidelines for some time.
Gary is based near Glasgow, is married to Elaine and has one son, Cameron, aged 11.
