A few words about freelancing
The UK needs growth big time. And Britain’s 1.6 million freelancers are delivering - big time. Freelancers, contractors and interim managers are bringing flexibility, dynamism and experience to every level of business and government throughout the UK. Three in five business leaders say the work of freelancers is vital, and the Prime Minister has gone out of his way to recognise their contribution to the economy, estimated recently at £21 billion.

For clients of all sizes, adding a freelancer or contractor to a project team can add experience and talent that might be otherwise be unaffordable or unobtainable. This is Britain’s Brain Gain. This is a sector which is vital to the UK’s economic prosperity. This is the sector that PCG represents.
As the ‘Voice of Freelancing’, PCG works tirelessly to help government and business get the most out of this unique, flexible pool of talent and expertise.
A quick glance at the other sections of this site will give you an insight into how freelancing works. Or you can download our publication ‘Freeing up Growth’. All in all, there’s a great story to tell – a story of growth, of enterprise, of a highly-skilled and motivated sector in the workplace that other countries are envious of (and utilise). That’s UK freelancing. That’s Britain’s Brain Gain.
